Patients

THE PATIENT is the most important person.

He is not dependent on us,
We are dependent on him.

He is not an interruption to our business,
He is the purpose of it.

He is not an outsider to our business,
He is a part of it.

We are not doing him a favour by serving him,
He is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so.

Lose weight with this trick

Torch calories with this workout trick:

Need to drop an extra 10 pounds? Researchers in Australia have discovered a fat burning shortcut. Here's the trick: Hop on an exercise bike and do 8 seconds of intense cycling, followed by 12 seconds of light cycling; repeat for a total of 20 minutes. Women who did this lost three times as much fat (especially from their legs and butts) as women who exercised at a steady pace for 40 minutes. The intervals help your body produce more fat burning compounds called catecholamines. Swimming, walking, or the elliptical trainer may have the same fat-burning kick, researcher says.

So go go go, get on your bikes or get your patients on the bike.

Completed six days of fasting for my love Ajay Upadhyay!!

Anyways friends do read the story if you get time about the Vrat.

Jayaparvati Vrat is observed in Ashada Maas by unmarried girls and married women in Gujarat and some other Western India parts. This vrat is observed for five days for 5 or 7 years.
Jayaparvati Vrat katha or the story or legend of Jaya parvati vrat is associated with a Brahmin woman who observed this vrat to get his husband’s life back. The divine couple Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is worshipped during this Vrat.
Gujaratis also worship Goddess Gauri in Ashadh Maas as Gauri Vrat.

Story

Once upon a time, there was a Brahmin couple. The husband and wife, who were devotees of Lord Shiva, led a materially content life, but were childless. It is believed that one fine day, Lord Shiva, who was pleased with the couple's selfless devotion, appeared before them and made a revelation. He said, "My Shivlinga is at a certain place in the jungle, lost and revered by none. If you both go there and perform its puja, your wishes will be fulfilled."
The Brahmin couple was overjoyed when they heard this. They went to the jungle and found out the Shivlinga. But, when the husband went in search of flowers to perform the puja, he was bitten by a snake.
The Brahmin's wife, who was worried by now that her husband hadn't returned, went in search of him. Upon finding him dead, she wailed loudly, and prayed to Lord Shiva. Happy with her prayers, Bholenath brought her husband back to consciousness. Later, the couple prayed at the linga and were soon blessed with a son.
Hence, Jaya Parvati vrat is observed keeping in mind this story of a courageous and devoted wife who prayed so diligently that even God had to grant her her wish and bring her husband back to life.

Vrat

When observing Jaya Parvati vrat, one cannot eat salt and vegetables. It is believed that Jaya Parvati vrat brings happiness and blesses the girl with a good husband and a happy married life.

Our Visit to BPN Conference

Last sunday we had a gr8 time at Le Meridien, Bangalore.

My sole motive to go was to meet my virtual social contacts in real.

Amazingly excitement pour in when I texted Einstein Jerome Sir if he was present in the conference.
For me the day got better after meeting him. His charismatic personality with his sense of humor made my day. So humble and down to earth. :)
He took his valuable time for us to introduce Ajay and me to everyone present.

Ah!! First one to be introduced was Ketan.. whom I call Little Master.. albeit I guess he is few months elder to me.. :P The only thing which I heard from his mouth is "Tune kafi weight put on kiya hai.. " Ha ha.. I came to know a secret about him from Einstein Sir.. Not about his special person whom he keeps describing every now and then on FB but that if anyone wants to know his whereabouts just login FB .. :P

Later met Suresh Babu Reddy Sir, Parthipan Sir with whom I might have had a word for around half hour about professional issues and last but not the least Dhanajeyan Jayavel who was so busy during the whole conference. :)

Oopsy the most applauded personality I couldn't forget to mention - Mr. Thiaga Rajan. His words touched everyone's heart and also gave a bang in our heads about the happenings. The best advice given by him for all physicians was to focus on research and important issues. I don't remember his exact words but I'll pen down what I perceived: Physiatrist, Physicians & Surgeons should focus more on finding out cure for cancer, stroke, diabetes etc and not to fall into pity issues about grabbing patients of back pain, osteoarthritis, etc etc.

So much to write but I guess will make it easier by adding a token of appreciation in the form of video for all the BPN members to organize such a gr8 event. Thank you million times.

P.S. Bangalore was never my choice to settle but after seeing PTs who are so much dedicated towards their work and profession my mind got changed. Now I love Bangalore. :)
